TRICK OR TREAT?

Happy Halloween! This is a pretty big day. It is the FIRST Halloween in my bank of Alaskan memories where parents will not have to struggle to stuff their kid and their kid's down snowsuit into a ballerina costume. Better yet, there will be no frozen face paint on the cheeks of our youth, and gloves will not hinder the un-wrapping of candy. These kids don't know how lucky they are that it's 34 degrees outside.

As for our costumes... this year we were inspired by this awesome photo project and decided to give cross dressing a try.

Did we trick you?!

Update: Due to the remote nature of my current residence, I didn't expect any trick or treaters this year. However, 7pm rolled around and despite an un-illuminated porch light, there was a knock at the door. Of course it was a trick or treater, and of course I'm the only person in the world who doesn't have candy in their home. I poured her some m&ms from a jar (unwrapped candy?! I'm every parents worst nightmare) and gave her a clementine (now I'm every kids worst nightmare). I'm sorry little fisher-girl!
